For 2022, the redesigned Toyota Tundra pickup truck gets a new powertrain option and an improved suspension. The four-door Tundra has two cab styles and seven trim levels that include a range of technology, performance, and convenience features.
Interior and Technology
Up to five passengers will enjoy the spacious cabin that has a powered retractable rear window, a large infotainment touchscreen display, the latest technology according to the trim or options package, and the Toyota Safety Sense 2.5 driver-assist suite.
Performance
The Tundra comes standard with a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 engine producing 389 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque paired with a ten-speed automatic transmission and rear- or four-wheel-drive. There's also a battery-electric hybrid system creating 437 horsepower and 583 pound-feet of torque, available on select trims.
Durability
The new Tundra cargo bed consists of dent- and corrosion-resistant composite material and has a maximum towing capacity of 12,000 pounds with the right configuration.
