Toyota has been leading the industry for years with technological advancements—especially when it comes to safety. The Toyota Research Institute is working hard on two different advancements for autonomous cars that is being built in hopes to one day eliminate preventable car crashes. 

Toyota Motor Corporation plans to have 100 buses on the streets in time for the summer Olympics in Tokyo in 2020. Sounds like a reasonable goal. What if I told you that they have plans to have 100 hydrogen powered busses ready for the 2020 Olympics? Well, that's the plan.

At the Tokyo Motor Show, Toyota Motor Corporation will unveil two new concepts cars vehicles, the Fine-Comfort Ride and the Sora Bus. The Fine-Comfort ride is just like it sounds, it looks like someone took a modern living room and put a car van around it. 

Driverless Cars? Not as far away from reality as you'd think. The Toyota Research Institute has released a video demonstrating how the technology to allow cars to drive themselves will appear in their cars, and how drivers will interact with and benefit from the technology. The video demonstrates two different modes. Guardian, where the driver operates the car and the system only takes control if demanded by the situation; and Chauffeur, where the autonomous vehicle platform is in control from the start.
